The Audio Forum

Posted by PiePie Jul. 30, 2007 @ 1:11 PM EDT

In the year 2004 the audio forum was born. It started out as a small striving community which turned out to become a little dysfunctional loving family. Then in 05 Like the rest of newgrounds the audio forum got bigger, new people came old people left still the audio forum was a place to be and all the other forums envied the smart educated and fun conversations that went on in the audio forum.

2006 was the year I think the audio forum started going down hill picking up a speed along its way still with a handful of regulars and a bunch of new guys things where still enjoyable. Now 2007 I come back only to find a place where I'm embarrassed to be caught reading the topics and making posts, also with little kids typing wild and everyone spamming as much as they could just like in the general forum.

Yes the forums now are a dump (excuse me for being so forward but it is true). The regulars including myself are not doing there part in talking back to the idiots and spammers and merely go along with there petty games. This used to be a place where I can come relax and enjoy myself now it is a place filled with losers and deadbeats. However since I been since the beginning I refuse to let it go.

The internet is truly serious business....

I'm with you PiePie - the AF has been a mess lately. A guilty pleasure I suppose... You're not too far off the mark though, you do come away feeling a little dirty after sifting through 6 new pages of total crap in every topic and a truckload of new-kid arrogance every day...

BTW - would I be considered a loser or a deadbeat? I mean, I do work my ass off and I keep up with my bills so I'm not really a deadbeat... I guess I'm a loser then.

If I could give you kudos, I would. I agree with you here, except for the internet is truly serious business. Not ALL of the internet is serious business. However, the lack in people taking it even slightly seriously does lead to messes, such as the one we have in the AF.

I do agree but i dont think its a problem, if they wanan be noob and spam then let them be. If they keep it up no one is gonna pay attention to them sooner or later.

Jul. 31, 2007 | 8:58 PM PiePie responds:

if they want to be an idiot they can go to general forum no excuse.

Agree'd.

Thats all I have to say about that.

Jul. 31, 2007 | 8:57 PM PiePie responds:

agreed.

It is a shame.

I've had problems finding reasons to stay too.

But what the hell, I'm hoping I can mold these people's online personas like you fags molded mine. >:(

Jul. 31, 2007 | 8:57 PM PiePie responds:

we must rebuild dear Solus.

'Tis serious business. But shit happens when forums get bigger and bigger and bigger...
I suggest you swing by more often, set an example for the new guys to follow. This kind of thing happens because the old-timers stop posting as often, which leaves a void of good posting examples.

I always felt out of the loop with the other users who read the audio threads as often as I. I've always skimmed across all the conversations, competing in some contests, and posting music here and there.
